City Service Corporation joins World Milk Day
In 2001, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations designated every 01 June as World Milk Day, which celebrates the important contributions of the dairy sector to sustainability, economic development, livelihood and nutrition.
The City Service Corporation joined this year’s World Milk Day held at the Quezon Memorial Circle with 125 member volunteers participating. The event was kicked off by a fun run participated in by thousands of runners around Quezon City Circle followed by Zumba. Culmination was the milk toast offered by Alaska Milk Corporation, this year’s main sponsor and host.
Each member’s attendance corresponds to a donation to be made by Alaska to chosen beneficiaries such as public schools and orphanages nationwide.
